The Ten Commandments for Fleas …
I. There is no “magic wand” when it comes to flea control.

II. The flea life cycle can be completed in as little as 10-14 days and fleas need:
1) warm, humid environment
2) warm-blooded animal host to complete life cycle

III. For every 1 adult flea, there are 100’s of eggs waiting to hatch into larvae.

IV. Deer are not common carriers of fleas. The most common vectors are small mammals like squirrels, possums, raccoons, stray dogs and CATS.

V. If your indoor pet has fleas, then you have fleas in your house.

VI. Premise control is as important as treating your pet. Without it, your flea control attempt will most likely fail.

VII. Flea shampoos and collars are TEMPORARY. They do not provide residual protection.

VIII. Use insecticidal products per directions as packaged.

IX. Fleas need to come into physical contact with your pet to get any insecticidal medication. There is no effective flea repellent.

X. There is no flea prevention, only flea control.
