Dr. David Cardwell
Veterinarian

Dr. David Loy Cardwell grew up in Texas in the small town of Pleasanton where his dad had a veterinary practice. Helping his dad in the 1960-70s instilled a love for the practice of veterinary medicine and he decided to follow in his dad’s footsteps. He attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. After practicing for 9 years in Corpus Christi, he moved to Kerrville and bought Kerrville Veterinary Clinic. Even after 30 years, he still finds something new and rewarding each day in the practice/art of vet medicine. Since graduating, he has always worked in a mixed practice where “All creatures great and small” are welcome. In his time off, he is usually checking on cows and other creatures at his family ranch near Junction which has been in his family for more than 100 years. His dad grew up there and Dr. Cardwell has deep roots there as well. He also loves visiting the wild country in the mountains of Colorado. He is married to Sheryl Cardwell and has a daughter, two sons, and three grandkids!

Joella
Tech

I was born in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in El Paso, Texas. I’m married and have a daughter and I’m now a grandma! I’ve always had a special love for animals. My first job experience with animals was as a volunteer docent at the El Paso Zoo. This experience opened doors for me and I went to work for a pet store and eventually my first job at a veterinary clinic. I loved working with animals in a medical environment and I’ve been working in the veterinary field for over twenty years now. When I’m not at the clinic or home spending time with my own furry friends, I also do pet sitting. My life would not be complete without animals to love and take care of. I am blessed to work at such a wonderful place with people who share my special love for animals.
